Embedded Commands
An embedded command is a technique for planting an action into the mind of the customer without his knowledge. The command is hidden in the structure of the sentence. Embedded commands are indirect commands used to get the attention of the customer. It is a verbal command and it is one of the powerful ways to make a suggestion to another person without the conscious awareness of that person. The suggestion will register and will have a great impact at the unconscious level. Dr Milton Ericsson used embedded commands to treat his clients. The commands are spoken differently with a slightly different pitch. Embedded commands bypass the conscious mind and avoid r¨¦sistance. When you use embedded commands change your tone of voice as it will be more effective. You can lower your voice, tilt your head, look the person straight in the eyes or take a small breath before you say the command. You can also make it more powerful by saying a joke. As a hypnotherapist I use embedded command to get into the subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is very sensitive to the sound and tone of the voice. Sometimes certain messages, if it is given in a subtle manner, will have greater emphasis on the sub-conscious mind. When you use voice tone and body language it will have a great impact on the customer¡¯s unconscious mind. When you say things at the conscious level a customer may decline the offer, but if it is said in a manner which touches them at the subconscious level they will accept the offer. Be a mental magician by directing the customer towards to a situation and then deliver an action command which is not consciously noticed by the customer. Your voice tone plays a major role when you use embedded command, e.g. if you buy the product you can see the benefit right now.
